Delivery Time

Custom globes generally ship within a week of receiving the order. Be sure to choose the appropriate shipping option that fits your schedule.
International orders should prefer using UPS if the order is needed quickly. Standard post can get delayed in customs for weeks.

Tips and Tricks

  • Equirectangular images work best. These have twice the width as height. Other images can work but be sure to preview them first.
  • For the larger 7" globe, an image width between 4,000 and 20,000 pixels works best.
  • We will align the piece borders to best fit your image so don't worry about the tiles cutting across a face.

Image Sources

The images we use are called 'equirectangular' (width twice that of the height). Popular sources are world maps and 360 cameras. A search for '360 images' or 'equirectagular images' provides good examples of images that work well on our spheres.
Panaramas can work well. The distortion at the poles can be reduced by adding blank space above and below the image so it will appear more centered.
Standard images can also be used but can appear distorted at the poles. If you're handy with photo editing, placing multiple images centered vertically can create a nice looking globe.

Sizes and Prices

  • 1.5": The size of a ping-pong ball made from 6 magnetic tiles ($35)
  • 3.1": Baseball sized and 12 magnetic tiles ($75)
  • 7.4": Close to a volleyball and 32 magnetic tiles ($220)

3. Order your globe

Select the diameter and quantity and add it to your cart.

* You'll need to upload your image to Snapspheres before ordering.
